Randy was working for a Fortune 500 company in California when he decided to invest in a vacation home in Las Vegas since prices were so inflated where he was. During the home buying process, he felt very lost, confused, and out of touch with his agent. The agent didn’t educate him on the market, the tax advantages of buying a home, or the escrow process of purchasing a home. Since he was so kept out in the dark, he lost out on many benefits, unbeknownst to him at the time. It was only when he researched online, that he discovered that an agent communicating only a week before closing was not good practice.

A month later, a similar situation happened to his uncle with a completely different agent. After the agent conducted many showings of homes that didn’t match their criteria, Randy’s uncle found a home online on his own. Again, the agent didn’t keep them updated on the transaction until the very last minute. This caused a lot of anxiety and resulted in them having to pay more money down and a higher interest rate.

The same result with 2 separate agents. There’s got to be a better way.

With a stroke of luck and a leap of faith in 2018, the path was laid out for Randy to become a Realtor. The corporation that Randy was working for was bought out in a massive $26 billion merger. With this merger, he didn’t feel enjoyment or fulfillment anymore and took this as a perfect opportunity and a sign to change careers. Randy decided to immerse himself in an industry where he could actually help real-life people, instead of helping an unethical corporation make millions.

In his first year, he decided to learn from the best and joined 2 top teams in the marketplace. Although he really enjoyed his time on both teams and absorbed a wealth of knowledge, Randy wanted to create a real estate experience that was based on financial education, client communication, client satisfaction, and maintaining 5-star ratings.

Gao Realty was formed in 2019 and has taken off ever since. We are consistently a top team in our office, all while maintaining 5-Star ratings on Zillow, Google Business, and Facebook. In 2021 and 2022, Randy was awarded the YPN’s Top 40 under 40 award, not just for his production, but also for his philanthropy.
